The victory also extended Tampa Bay's unbeaten streak to 14 matches across all competitions, further highlighting the club's momentum as the season progresses.

The Rowdies took control of the match early and consistently pressured the Sporting JAX defense throughout the evening. Their breakthrough came in the 35th minute when Sebastian Cruz found the back of the net to give Tampa Bay a deserved 1-0 advantage. Cruz was instrumental in the attack all night and later added an assist just before halftime. In stoppage time of the first half, MD Myers doubled the lead, finishing off a Rowdies attack in the 45+2 minute to send Tampa Bay into the locker room with a comfortable two-goal cushion.

Charlotte FC gave its supporters a memorable night recently, earning a 3-1 victory over Toronto FC at Bank of America Stadium. The match had plenty of action, and Charlotte showed why they are becoming one of the more exciting teams to watch this season.

The home side started the game with confidence and quickly put Toronto under pressure. That early energy paid off when Wilfried Zaha found the back of the net to give Charlotte the lead. The goal sparked excitement around the stadium and gave the team the perfect start.

Toronto FC did not stay quiet for long. Derrick Etienne Jr. answered with an equalizer that brought the visitors back into the match. For a moment, it looked like Toronto might be able to build momentum and challenge Charlotte for control of the game.

Orlando City Lions Fall Narrowly to Houston Dynamo Despite Dominant Performance

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando City SC suffered a frustrating 1-0 defeat to Houston Dynamo FC on Saturday night at Inter&Co Stadium, marking the club’s first-ever home loss against Houston in franchise history.

Despite controlling much of the match and creating several promising opportunities, the Lions were unable to find the back of the net. Houston capitalized on one of its few chances in the 75th minute when Hector Herrera finished a transition opportunity that ultimately proved to be the game-winner.

The result drops Orlando City to 1-6-1 on the season, while Houston improved to 3-4-0 and collected all three points on the road.

Throughout the evening, Orlando looked like the more dangerous side. The Lions maintained possession, pressed forward, and consistently tested Houston’s defensive shape. However, a lack of finishing in the final third once again proved costly as Orlando failed to convert its chances.

The Tampa Bay Rowdies delivered a strong early-season statement with a 3–0 win over defending champions Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC at Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg. From the opening whistle, Tampa Bay controlled the match, applying constant pressure and limiting Pittsburgh to just two shots without a single attempt on target.

The first half was tightly contested, with Pittsburgh holding possession but struggling to create danger. Just before halftime, the breakthrough arrived when Marco Micaletto sent a well-placed cross into the box, where Russell Cicerone finished with a header to give the Rowdies a 1–0 lead. The goal not only shifted momentum but also marked Cicerone’s 70th regular-season league goal, highlighting his experience and consistency in front of goal.

Tampa Bay carried that advantage into the second half and continued to raise their level. The second goal came through MD Myers, who made an immediate impact off the bench in his Rowdies debut. After a quick transition involving Brian Schaefer and a smart attacking run from Cicerone, Myers received the final pass and finished cleanly from distance to double the lead.
