Brighton Women 1–1 PSG Women: Seagulls Fight Back to Earn Pre-Season Draw

Brighton & Hove Albion Women battled to an entertaining 1–1 draw against Paris Saint-Germain in a competitive pre-season friendly at the American Express Stadium.

PSG started the match strongly and created several early chances. Their pressure eventually paid off in the 37th minute when Alyssa Charlier put the visitors ahead after meeting a low cross from Romée Leuchter.

Brighton responded before half-time but struggled to find a way through PSG's defence. The Seagulls returned from the break with greater attacking intent and began putting their opponents under increasing pressure.

Their persistence was rewarded in the 85th minute. Brighton captain Maisie Symonds stepped up for a free kick and produced a composed finish to level the score late in the match.

PSG pushed for a winner in the closing minutes, but Brighton's defence held firm to secure a deserved draw.

The result will give Brighton confidence as they prepare for the new season, while PSG will also take positives from a competitive test against English opposition. Both teams showed quality throughout the match, making the fixture a valuable part of their pre-season preparations.
